Weekly stories about the human side of basketball development.
Sports culture can shrink a young athlete down to a ranking, a stat line, a highlight, an offer.
We care about the player and the person. BKN uses the game to build better thinkers, competitors, leaders and teammates.
Talent gets noticed. Who you become lasts longer.
Three words we train by. A philosophy, and a series you'll see on our channels.
Build → Know → NextDon't just make the move. Know why it works.
The drill isn't the development. The decision is.
We don't train players to follow instructions forever. We teach them to see the game. Good development should eventually make you less dependent on your trainer.
No two players are the same.
There's no formula for the game, or for life. We teach the principles. The rest, we figure out together.
Choosing the right play, not only the flashy one.
Every move is built for a read you'll actually see in a game.
What you do after the miss matters more than the miss.
Talking on defense, speaking up in the huddle, being heard.
Reading the floor a step before it happens.
Earned in preparation, not borrowed from a hot night.
Making the people next to you better.
Owning your minutes, your effort and your mistakes.
Learn from what happened without living in it. Your worst possession doesn't get to decide your next one.
BKN was founded by Naomi "Coach Nay" Bolasingh. She's played the game and coached it, and both taught her the same thing: development can't stop at skill.

Learned the game the hard way: on the floor.

Now helping young players learn it for themselves.
"I just want to help a player see themselves, and build themselves."
Coach Nay, founder
My playing journey took me through Tennessee State University and Northwest Florida State College. In 2019 I played in a professional combine at the University of South Florida, and I've practiced at the semi-professional level.
Then I moved to the other side of the whistle. I've coached youth, high school and college players, worked in player development and basketball operations, and spent multiple summers as an NBPA 5-Star coach. I've also coached through Jr. Knicks programming.
Every seat taught me the same thing. Young athletes need more than drills. They need people who teach them to understand the game, handle adversity, make decisions and figure out who they're becoming.
BKN is bigger than me. It's built to live in gyms and cities where I'm not standing on the court.
Now the camera turns to the athletes.
The athletes are the story. Weekly documentary-style episodes follow real development, not staged workouts: the misses, the adjustments, the people behind the players.

Workouts that teach athletes why, not only what.
Athletes as people, not highlight reels.
Short coaching lessons on the thinking behind development.

BKN is growing toward community impact: more access to the game, mentorship and programming for kids who need it. We're building it the right way, one step at a time.
